Description:
Earlier published as Gazeta Krakowska from 1949, but the name itself appeared for the first time back in 1794, during the Kościuszko Uprising.
From 1980 to 1981 Gazeta Krakowska was an icon of independent information, a platform for expression of postulates and opinions for political opposition. Maciej Szumowski was the editor-in-chief in those times.
Presently Gazeta Krakowska is the most important regional newspaper of the Lesser Poland region and it is published in 4 mutations every day. 8 local weeklies are attached every Friday. Gazeta Krakowska is published by Polska Press Kraków Division.
